ReplyPilot Privacy Policy

The short version

ReplyPilot does not collect, store, or transmit your text to our own servers. Ever. We run zero inference infrastructure.

What we store locally on your device

The extension uses chrome.storage.local — browser-local storage that never syncs anywhere — to keep:

• Your preferences (tone, AI provider choice)
• Your own API key, if you chose to paste one (it never leaves your browser)
• Your daily usage counter (resets every day)
• Your Pro license key, if you bought Pro

What leaves your browser

• Text you polish: If you use Chrome Built-in AI (the default for anyone on Chrome 127+ with the feature enabled), nothing leaves your device — inference runs on-device with Gemini Nano. If you chose to provide an OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google Gemini API key, text goes directly from your browser to that provider under their own privacy terms. We never act as a middleman.
• License checks: If you have a Pro license, the extension calls api.lemonsqueezy.com at most once per day to verify the license is still active. Only the license key itself is sent. No personal data, no usage data, no text.

What we do NOT collect

We have no analytics in the extension. We have no servers. We cannot see:

• The text you polish
• Which sites you use the extension on
• How often you use it
• Who you are

Third-party AI providers (optional)

If you choose to use a third-party AI provider by pasting your own API key, the text you ask ReplyPilot to polish will be sent directly from your browser to that provider. Their privacy policy governs how they handle it:

• OpenAI: openai.com/policies/privacy-policy
• Anthropic: anthropic.com/legal/privacy
• Google Gemini: policies.google.com/privacy

The default — Chrome Built-in AI — involves no third party and is fully on-device.

Data retention

All data stored by the extension lives only in your browser's local storage. Uninstalling the extension deletes everything. We have no copy, because nothing was ever sent to us.

Children

ReplyPilot is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change. Material changes will be announced on the landing page.
